Water got Into Viewfinder?

Hey guys,

I have a few months old D750 and while taking pictures of a waterfall fairly upclose, I guess water seeped into the inside of the eyepiece. What can I do?

(Yes, it is in the inside, I tried cleaning the outside with a q-tip)

Thanks Guys!

Maybe leave it out in the sun for awhile. I would keep very close watch on it or even sit there holding it to make sure it doesn't get too hot.

Or seal it in a bag it with some fresh desiccant pellets. Rice as a second choice.

Now that I think about it, I would do both. Warm it in the sun for awhile. I'm betting in less than an hour it will be gone, then follow up with leaving it bagged with a desiccant for a day or so just to make sure the moisture is truly gone.

Its dried up. Its just a water stain now. Would drying it up more work..?

I'm not 100% sure. But it sure does look like its on the view finder itself. I'll check to make sure when I get home.

I was shooting some engagement photos the weekend before last and set one of my cameras down on a park table for a few minutes. When I picked it back up and brought it to my face I saw an ant scurrying about inside the camera. I thought he was in the viewfinder. After fiddling about with the thing for a few minutes I finally took the lens off and sat there watching. He eventually turned up in the mirror box. I was certain he was in the viewfinder but thankfully not. Now how he got in there I have no clue because I hadn't removed that lens for several weeks up until the hunt for him. If the spot turns up on the mirror be extremely gentle and careful trying to clean it.
