What do you want for D760???

Nikon may replace D750 with a new model in 2017. This forum has a good number of D750 users, thus it'd be interesting to know what the D750 users want for the next model. Please list the features you'd like to have on D760 and whether you may want to upgrade.
Thanks.

I'm a little confused by your comment. Since we don't get to pick and choose what we want in a camera body, how can we say we'd upgrade without knowing what new features it would have?

The only thing, really, I can think of that would tempt me into upgrading at this point would be a significant increase in dynamic range; on the order of... Say, three-stops. Yes, I know that probably borders on miraculous but you asked. An increase of two-stops would give me cold sweats, and in all honesty would probably be enough to trigger an upgrade. Three-stops and I'd consider selling a kidney to finance things. Of course this all assumes Nikon does nothing to shoot itself in the foot which, really, is not a solid bet. Not even a remotely.

For me the biggest downfall of most of the "non-professional" Nikons is the buffer. A frame rate of 5-6 frames per second is more than enough for most, the problem is on most of the Nikon's I've owned that buffer fills in 2-3 seconds so the camera slows down to a crawl till the buffer has a chance to clear. If they could start addressing that in newer releases like the 760, that would definitely get my attention. I doubt this will be an area that will see much improvement though, I get the impression that Nikon doesn't want to put much larger buffers in this line of cameras so that they don't detract from sales of the really high end market, the D5.

I would like to see the increase in Dynamic range. I would like the Geotag. I would like the larger buffer so that the camera does not slow down when I want to shoot a burst. I want to move to full frame some day. Right now I go back and forth between the 750 and 810. A few enhancements would make the 760 the choice.

Based on the very minor improvements made by the latest Nikon upgrades (D3400 & d5600, D500, D5), I wouldn't hold my breath for anything spectacular.

It would be nice to have the D500 tracking/locking/focus ability.
A few extra stops of dynamic range would be nice, but it already has great DR as it is, so it wouldn't be a deal breaker.

Also, yes to the built in GPS . Also, they could make it just a little heftier.

Thanks for all your comments. Here's what I think:
1. Nikon should keep the D6xx line as entry level for FX cameras, and the replacement of D610 (say D650) should have what the current D750 has plus 4K video, and it's priced at about $1700-1800
2. Nikon should keep producing D750 and sell for $1600 (it's still a very good camera anyway)
3. The new D760 should have these new features (and priced at $2100-2200)
- double AF points with double cross-type points
- full touch & articulated screen
- 8 fps with double buffer
- flash 1/250 and shutter 1/8000
- ISO 100-51200
- 4K video
I think this is normal progress and these features are substantial enough to differentiate from the entry level (D650) and to attract new and current buyers.

The problem is that Nikon is hemorrhaging money in the camera division. Maybe they'll quit crippling their products. Or maybe they'll sell camera division to Sony. Or maybe they'll just fold. I wouldn't hope for to much out of a 760.

1/8000th second shutter, larger selectable area of AF points and an eye cap that just stays on.
I do really love the D750 though. 😊😊

Who would buy the D650 for $100 - $200 more than a D750, just to add 4k video?
