Camera Rattle

G'Day all

I've seen differing opinions on various forums but would like to hear from others owning a Nikon FX Camera.

I noticed if I give my D750 a slight shake, there is a small rattling noise from inside. Maybe a mirror?

The camera's performance has been fantastic and no issues with IQ, focusing, etc.

As you can imagine it is a little disconcerting, so I was wondering if any others noticed something similar?

Many thanks
Andrew

Just had a quick look on google, and most say The rattle comes from a spring that maintains the pop up flash opened when it is in the up position.

What other opinions have you seen!

Other suggestions have been it may be the mechanism that orientates the camera switching between portrait & landscape.

Well, I just took it to a Nikon service centre to check out. He looked at me, smiled and shook his head and said "If I had a dollar for everyone who came in worried about that rattle inside their camera I'd be a rich man."

He grabbed his own 2 camera's and yes a brief jiggle demonstrated that same rattle.

Talking to him put me at bit more at ease. Furthermore, I'm glad I didn't have to leave it for a couple of weeks service over the Christmas period! :)
