Using non AF lens on the D750

I have two non-AF lenses: 35-70 F/2.8 and 80-200 f/2.8. For over 40 years I have used them on an F2 and an F3. I am quite comfortable with manual focusing.

A week ago I bought my first digital camera--the D750. What capabilities of the 750 am I giving up by using non-AF lenses? It is clear I am giving up autofocusing. Is there anything else?

Thanks,

This may be useful to you (from Ken Rockwell website):
"with manual-focus (non-AF) lenses, the D750 only works in the A and M top-dial settings (Aperture-priority and Manual exposure modes). In any other modes, like my favorite U1, U2 and P modes, it's not smart enough to revert to the A mode as are most other Nikon cameras."

It will just be like using them with a F3. You can choose between A and M as previous poster mentioned. They meter/expose perfectly and they are nicer to use too....

You'll be giving up the focusing aids you're probably familiar with on your F2 and F3. It's effectively just a matte screen.

Manual focusing will be harder as there is neither the dark matt screen nor the split prism to nail the focus. You can change the focusing screen to get these, but then AF with slower lenses will be a problem, as the AF sensor is between the screen and the penta prism.
