Hello,

I'm trying to edit my RAW files shot with the D750 (FX format) in Photoshop Elements 12.
It says it can't read the format. Does anyone know if there is a plug-in for this?
Or if Photoshop CC can read D750 (FX) RAW files?

Need help!!!

Thanks,
Kathy

I edit my D750 RAW files in Adobe Photoshop CC no problem.

Welcome to the Nikonites forum.

Do you have the final update to 12? Not too sure but maybe the D750 wasn't included until PS Elements 13. You can use the free Adobe DNG converter and then it should be good to go. Maybe someone else will jump in that has first hand experience with PSE 12 and the D750.

Hi Paul,
Thanks for your quick reply. I'm using a friend's Photoshop CC account and it does work.
How long have you had your D750? How are you liking it?

Hi Kathy... Glad you're up and running.

I've had my D750 for several months now and I love it. I consider myself a Generalist, someone without a strong photographic specialty, or artistic niche, (at least not yet) so the D750 suits me well. If the D750 is Master at None, it more than makes up for it by being an amaaaazing Jack-of-all-Trades.

With the right glass my D750 never fails to impress me with what it can do.

Hi Bourbon Neat,
It looks like there was a Camera RAW update for the 810A, but not for the D750 yet. I'll check into the the DNG converter option.
Thanks!
Kathy

Hi Paul,
I just graduated from the D5100 to the D750. What a difference! I've only had it for a week, so it's really new to me. Just getting my sealegs with it. I see that you have some nice lenses. I purchased the Nikkor 24-120 f4G lens with my D750. So far I'm impressed. But I do want to get a few more lenses soon.

Congrats on the upgrade! I know the D5100 well; I shot with one for good long time. The 24-120mm is an excellent, highly versatile lens and should serve you well. Also, welcome to Nikonites! I hope to see some of your shots posted some time soon. :D

The Adobe site is getting tough, all they will talk about is CC.

The D750 needs ACR 8.7 (Adobe Camera Raw, the raw module, latest is 9.1). I don't know if 8.7 works for Elements 12 or not? Frequently a new camera model does require the new program version. Or CC or a new Lightroom.

If you have your Elements updates installed, and ACR is less than 8.7, then you will need Elements 13.

Welcome to the forum, ime having the same problem with elements 11,was using the DNG converter but now i download into View NX and convert the file in there to Tiff for editing and delete it after,i find it quicker than using the DNG.
