WMU app won't connect to wi-fi. What's up with that?

I bought the 750 in part for its wi-fi capabilities and downloaded the WMU app but the app won't connect to any wi-fi network my iPhone is connected to.
Basically, that's my issue. The app won't connect and keeps telling me to connect my phone to wi-fi even though it already certainly is.
Any suggestions?

The camera, when WiFi is on, will broadcast an SSID. You need to connect the phone to the camera, just like you would connect it to a WiFi access point.

Eyelight is correct. I have the Nikon Wifi adapter for my D7100 and once you plug it in you then have to connect the phone to it. I have problems with my iPhone staying connected to it and it is slow but my tablet works great with it.

I just decided to try this WMU app for the first time, just now, and I have to say I'm pretty impressed. While I'm Not sure how often I'll use it, it's nice to know it's there and the photo transfer was surprisingly fast.
