Why does lcd light up when changing iso? And few other differences

Kinda annoying when looking through viewfinder when changing iso...

Make sure you guys have the setting on where pressing the OK button upon image review it 100% zooms on the focus point! I really envied that feature of the d800 and am pretty sure d600 didn't have it.

As far as - 3.0ev focusing... The d750 didn't WOW me... I guess I maybe expected too much.

I can't believe how much better the auto WB is and how much more consistent and neutral the colors are compared to the D600!

It lights up in manual mode but when I shoot A, I switch A with the front and ISO with the back wheel. Then nothing lights up.

Hmm.. I shoot almost exclusively in manual as I'm sure most wedding photographers do.. Hope this is something that can be turned off in a firmware update.

I don't do weddings so I usually shoot A and control my shutter by defining the auto-ISO depending upon what I shoot and compensate that with EV.

When I occasionally shoot manual at night, it does annoy me since the light kills my night vision each time.

I don't know if this was happening on the D800 but the "touch button to light LCD" is an annoyance the D3300 (and maybe D5300) had too. Maybe they just continued the new tradition. The fact the D750's EV isn't disabled in manual is strange too. It doesn't do anything but you can still change the compensation and it'll show up in the EXIF.

Did you have the d600 before? Can you tell a big difference in low low light focusing?

I never thought to do this before but because of a video on the d750 that I saw, I'm now only using 11 focus points instead of 51. This let's me move the focus area faster from side to side, but I wonder if it negatively affects focusing.

I can't help you there, I never had a D600. All I can tell you that when I shoot the D750 for night shots, I occasionally have to search to find a bright enough object to focus it on. It doesn't necessarily focus on what I myself can distinguish with my eyes.

hows the screen now vs the green tint on the D600? colors were awful in the pics as well. hope it better with the D750. im wondering if its as nice as the D4.

what pro camera have you used as I want to ask how is its AF speed. my other concern is the shutter lag. the D600 vs my D3s and D3 is turtle slow. just wondering.

The screen was never the issue I don't think. The green cast could just be corrected, but I'm really glad you agree about awful D600 colors. It seemed like only a couple people on the entire internet (including Ryan Brenizer in his first review) complained about colors/skin tones on the D600. Near the end of my D600 ownership I was starting to get better with skin tones I think.

The D750 is a 100% improvement. Whitebalance and Skin tones. Much more neutral. Much more consistent. It's gonna save me hundreds of hours.

I am not sure about AF speed or shutter lag--Seems fine to me. I've not used "pro" cameras yet like the D3.

green screen is far from accurate. D600 collors are crap. same with D610. its the reason I hesitate with the D750. I asked about your use with a D3 and up camera because you would feel a huge difference. the specs say D4S af module and speed..would like to get feedback from someone whos used both. that will then tell me what I need to know, becuase the D600 had some slow shutter lag.

I'm 2500 miles away form my D750 now, so I can't comment on everything, but I agree that the D750 is a marked improvement in many ways over the D600/610 - WB, Focusing (both in low light and in general), Colors, Noise...

I tend to use auto ISO, so I haven't noticed that. It seems to light up on all the back button functions. I noticed it first changing WB, and with the camera away from my eye I was surprised but not bothered. I would think there's a menu option in there to turn it off, but like I said, I don't have the camera with me.

Unfortunately there is no option to disable it (yet). I'm super happy with being able to zoom into the focus point to 100% 1:1 crop with the press of the OK button!!! A feature I believe the D600 lacked.

does anyone know why exif for d750 doesn't show up on flickr/500px?

I've had no problem with EXIF, but initially many editing programs didn't support the D750 RAW format, so it's possible that whatever was used to circumvent that stripped the EXIF.

Are you having problems with yours showing up?
