Well for the record, it won't be me. The only way would be if the grip got it to 8 fps. No I dont spray and pray, but there are lot of ideas that I have and could use the boost in fps. I can upgrade the big boys yet, but guess that may be the direction I head in the years to come unless something else comes out.

So cons for me

- Tilt Screen, just something to break when I am on the field
- fps, not enough of a gain to justify
- This seems more geared to video shooters, which I dont use and only used 1 time on my D7k.
- would have like to have seen a true FX viewfinder like the 800/D3#/D4#
- would have like to have seen some of the upper end controls added to this and not just repeat what is already out there

Pros
In general I like the other additions, but they just are not something of value to me at this time.

Now none of this means its a bad camera, its just not the right for me. If I was making the move FX then by all means it would be my choice and would just deal with the lack of increased fps.

I pointed this out to the wife, I'd probably get banned if I posted her reply. But in reality, I'm not ready for another camera for some time even if I was interested.

Not me,ime not downgrading from my D7100:D

Downgrade?! Please!!

This looks like a great camera, and an upgrade to the 6xx line - just not a huge one. Like Kevin I'm not a fan of the tilt-screen, though there have certainly been occasions where I could have used one. I like the onboard wifi, even though I don't currently use it, and believe this could have a huge upside in the studio. More focus points and a better focus system? Thank you very much. And the price point is only $100 more than the D600 debuted at. Not an earth shattering or even game changing camera, but certainly a damn fine one.

If people are let down it's probably because the rumors were so off base and they were expecting more. Had this camera come in at $300-500 higher then I could see being disappointed. If nothing goes wrong in the first 3 months I think Nikon has a winner here. I think the rushed release of the D610, which probably was even on the radar until the D600 fiasco, likely kills some of the "Oooohs" and "Aaaaahs".

I like the upgraded processor. Will this camera be minus the pass-filter? If so, I could be tempted. (If I win the lottery or something.)

Being a current Sony A77 user the tilt screen isn't an issue but rather a small bonus. I have never had an issue with mine which does not only go up and down but pivots. Im still not to thrilled with the 1/4000 shutter. My hands are a little big and most likely will wait until I can actually hold one .

After a quick look at it online, I'm both disappointed and relieved by the D750.

Disappointed in that it's not the camera that will satisfy me to replace my D700, for which the D810 may be an option in the not-so-near future.

Relieved in that I'm not compelled to immediately purchase one, and therefore won't be spending "lens money" on a camera right now.

I'll admit I was a bit underwhelmed when I first read the spec's but the more I consider the '750 the more I'm liking it. No, it doesn't knock me outta my bobby-socks but it's a lot of camera for the asking price. 51 Points, the improved AF, I'm totally down with SD (versus CF) personally, the WiFi is a "nice to have". I do wish it had native GPS and that the LCD was articulated like the D5300 (which turns and covers the LCD with a hard exterior). A larger buffer would be nice too; but really, my nit-picks are pretty much nit-pics and nothing more.

I'm not an early adopter but with this camera, and at this price point, I'm much more tempted to cross over into FX territory. I feel I may be squarely in Nikon's target demographic with this release...

@BackdoorHippie and @Horoscope Fish , I forgot about the wifi, I will be looking forward to reviews on that. It is a Pro in my book as just about ever other solution that would work for me leaves me wanting more.

Assuming the wifi is similar/identical to what's built into the D5300, then I think it's a pass. Having wifi limited to just mobile devices and not usable from a computer is what hinders the feature from being productive, IMO.

Dang it. I forgot that Wifi is crippled on the '5300... And here's betting you're right; that it's just as crippled on the '750.

It looks like a very capable camera and looking forward to seeing how the sensor performs against the D800/800e/810. Although I'm still set on upgrading to a D810 at this point. But I find very little to dislike about the new D750.

I guess it is a decent in-between an 810 and the 610 all things considered, but with 600's street price these days and everyone else who only recently jumped on 610, this thing will be collecting dust on the shelves les some pro's pick it up as a backup or something.

At least we're still like 6 steps ahead of Canon.
