Dumb Question

I went and took a couple shots of the snow. I have my camera set to RAW and Shutter priority mode. I do my editing on my Ipad and used Nikon WIFI to transfer to my ipad. When I open the shots in Affinity photo, the quality seemed low so I checked the resolution and it is only 1620X1080 is that normal?

It looks like you are correct. However when I pulled them off my card from a lightning to SD it was 6000X4000. Why can photos handle raw files via SD card and not wireless?

From the little bit I read, I gather that SnapBridge does not transfer RAW images wirelessly. It only transfers jpegs. You can choose an option for higher resolution images, but it will still be jpeg files. I also understand it is slow as molasses in February if you choose to transfer the large files. It is just a limitation of the app, if I am reading it correctly. I think it is mainly for social media use.
