How can I jump through images on SD card?

Hi! Is there a way to go through images on SD card (for deletion purposes) so I don’t have to go through them one by one? If I have 500 images on the card and I want to review the 200th image, how can I quickly get there? Thank you!

Copy them to a computer hard drive, and use the computer's Explorer or Finder, and set the settings to display the files as small icons... then you can scroll through groups of them and actually see what they are...

You can also do the same with the images on the SD card, but you'll probably be old and dead by the time the SD card moves from one screen full to the next...

I take it you want to review and delete images while the card is in camera?

Most cameras let you zoom out the image display to a thumbnail view, where you can scroll much faster. Some cameras also show the images grouped by date.

Welcome aboard. Enjoy the ride.
We look forward to seeing more posts and samples of your work.

May cameras have a "Thumbnail Playback" but since we don't know which camera you have, we can't help you access this function. Look it up in your owners manual.

Assuming you mean reviewing images on your computer the answer would depend on what software you're using to review photos and whether or not that software supports what you want to do. I use Adobe Bridge and I can hold down an arrow key when in Reveiw Mode and sroll through shots really, really fast, but I can NOT input a specific shot number (e.g. shot no. 215 of 550) and jump right to it.

Adobe Bridge is free if you want to try it, but there's probably another software application that will do exactly what you want; I just don't know what it is.

Hopefully someone else has a better suggestion.
