D7200 qual and iso button issue

Update #2: the problem is back! (Checked the resistivity of each button contact surface, it is the same for the original and new bars.) conclusion: the issue could be a connection issue where the ribbon cable plugs into the body. Argh!
Update #1: Replaced the 5 button bar with a new one found on line. Now everything works as it should. Got the idea from another post with a similar issue. Total cost: $US 4.99. It was pretty easy do. Original Post: Greetings, after 2years and 3 months of flawless performance my D7200 suddenly cant zoom in on a 'view'. The iso button is likewise affected. I have gone through all the possible solutions, looked for stuck buttons, reset all settings, insert fully charged battery, updated firmware, 'two green dot 'reset doesn't work!, I have submitted a request for help to Nikon and got this:
1) Remove and reinsert a compatible, fully-charged Nikon battery.
2) Remove the lens and any other accessories and reattach the lens.
3) Power the camera on.
4) Perform a Two-Button Reset (hold both buttons that are marked with a green dot for two seconds and the Control Panel or LCD monitor will briefly flash).
5) Reset the Custom Settings and the Shooting Menu and set the camera to P mode.
6) Check to see if the issue persists with an alternate formatted and approved memory card..
I followed the procedure obediently, no fix. ( i have also swapped lenses, left the battery out for days, reset everything, etc.etc.) by the way, in shooting mode the iso button brings up the iso adjustment screen but so does the qual button, not the quality adjustment screen.
I know this sounds very similar to the 'menu and play' button issue, just two different buttons. Does anyone have any ideas? My last contact with nikon service was friendly and courteous but only suggested that I box the camera up and mail it in. The camera still takes great photos, functions fine otherwise and with the ok button reassignment I can still zoom in to check focus, it is just worrisome, what is next? Anyway, all thoughts and suggestions welcomed!

Howdy and welcome to Nikonites!!!

It sounds to me like you're done all the DIY troubleshooting steps. I agree, next step is probably best to get an authorized repair shop to take a look.
