USB socket

This may seem like a silly question, but what, exactly, is the size of the USB port on the D7200.
I normally take the card out and put it in a reader, but today I felt like connecting the camera with the cable.
The problem I have is that I have LOTS of cables, but when I tried to find something to fit the camera, neither of the type B plugs I have
would fit.
I looked in the box and there was no cable in it, so it must have been taken out at some time in the past, but which one of the cables I now have floating around it is I have no idea.
So just what size is it? I can't find anything in the manual.

I can't speak for the D7200 specifically, but my other Nikon bodies have all come with the needed USB cable because of the smaller interface on the camera itself.

Hopefully someone who has a D7200 will be able to add additional commentary shortly. For now, the best I can do is welcome you to Nikonites! :)

Welcome aboard. Enjoy the ride.

You need an A to Mini-B 8pin USB cable. This is the same cable that fits most smartphones such as the Samsung Galaxy S6 and LG G4.

Its not a micro or a mini. D7000 had a mini. d7100 and d7200 have this oddball thing shown above by Dawg Pics. I'm not sure if its unique to Nikon.

edit: Dawg's post above disappeared. Nikon calls it a UC-E17 cable.

Sorry, I deleted because I thought maybe I looked up the wrong thing.

This is the correct transfer cable. The UC-E17 is also known as the UC-E6 and the UC-E16. It's a proprietary cable used for a whole slew of Nikon cameras.

UC-6/16/17 at B&H ($10).

Some sort of miracle happened and I have found the Nikon cable. Comparing the connectors show it to be the same shape as the mini but about half the size!
Now the next problem, I have downloaded the Firmware upgrade file F-7200-v102w.exe but it will NOT execute. I've tried more than once. I definitely have the Windows version and have got multiple copies of it.
I'm running Windows 10 Pro (64-bit).

@norman1312:

the execution of that file is a bit misleading process. It gives no signal that anything at all has happened. All it does is it extracts the D7200Update folder from the .exe which is just an archive. Look into the same folder where you have the .exe and there will be a D7200Update folder in it. Go to that folder and the .bin is there.

If you can't find it, the bin is also here:

When executing it should yield a .bin file that you need to copy to your SD card in slot 1. How do you know it is not executing, do you get an error message?

Actually most smart phones use a MICRO-B 8 pin USB not a mini. A Garmin GPS is probably one of the more common electronic devices that still uses a mini.
