When shooting in P mode, if you leave the ISO set to auto and decide to manual change it with the back dial will it shoot at that setting or does auto ISO override it.

I had to try it to see and I found I could adjust the bottom number but Auto ISO took over if it needed more. But that was my first try with the Program mode.

The sooner one leaves P mode and moves to one of the more controllable modes the better. As I use my D7200 in manual mode, on those occasions I need to ensure my exposure I would switch over to auto ISO with a 6400 limit.

I am unable to change my Auto Iso Maximum on my d7200. is this a glitch or am i not doing something right. I only see 25600 as my only option within the menu

@kingtnt, Iso sensitivity is set in the "shooting menu". If you look at page 99 of the menu it will walk you through the steps to set it. It is a selectable value in a table.

Thanks for you help @Danno, I was able to set and set the maximum iso. But it seems like it just stays at that iso regardless of the lighting conditions. It doesnt adjust. At this point i am thinking of reverting back to shooting in manual mode.

When you set your auto ISO, what did you set your minimum shutter speed at?
