It seem to me like it would be a great upgrade for ya my friend! I think you'd love it, though I'm not up on what the D7200 goes for here in the US, and I have no clue what it goes for in the UK!lol :)

Its hard to dislike a d7200 or even a d7100. Great cameras. I picked up a d7200 a few months back for US $769, I couldn't resist. If you won't go hungry spending the money, just get it and enjoy it.

Greys are proper, exactly the same, the only difference is the price, and thats all, and that can run into several hundred £'s. They generally do come with a warranty, it might not be the official Nikon Europe one, but the bottom line is, you won't be out of pocket, if, and thats if it needs repair.

Depending upon where you live, it can be an issue when selling. I had quite some ask whether my D750 was a grey import or a "real one" when I sold it.

I still think that is just a misunderstanding on their part. As you probably know a grey import is as real a Nikon as one from an official retailer. If a D7200 intended for the US market is imported and sold in the UK then it's a grey import.
I think some people still think grey imports are counterfeit or knock offs.

What do you mean ?
A warranty is only as good a the customer service backing it up and Nikon's customer service sucks in my experience. They're very good at finding reasons why this particular repair doesn't qualify for warranty repair with "Impact Damage" being one of their favorites.

I routinely suggest people buy grey market and, if they want a two or three-warranty, get a third-party warranty from someplace like SquareTrade.
