D 7200 Stolen should I replace it? or get something else?

Two weeks ago my camera bag was stolen, at a sports event. I have now experienced the feeling of loosing my camera and lens (one of my favorite lenes 70-200 f4) Now what do I do? I have a D 7000 (my old camera) and other lenes.

Not sure, buy a new body? Wait for the next model to be released? Use my old D 7000 for a while. What would you do?

If it was insured there may be limits on your choices.
If not. I feel your pain.

If not I might be tempted to wait a bit if the 7000 still meets your needs. Might be time to look at some of the new offerings like the D500 or going FX. Make this loss an opportunity.

or not.

If you loved the D7200 - and you can mange it. replace it.

How did you feel about the D7200 when you had it?

I like the D7200 I am glad I have the old D7000 to fall back on I don't really notice a difference not sure if its worth the expense to buy again or wait for a new model to be released. Maybe find a used one? not sure any thoughts?

Personally, if I had a D7000 in my hand's I'd have to be a little more excited by the D7200 than you're sounding before I could see myself dropping the necessary cash. I have a D7100 myself and the D7200 doesn't excite me one little bit. Pretty sure I'd say the same if I had a D7000 instead. But, that's me.

Do you have any interest in going full-frame (I ask out of idle curiosity)?

For some reason I am not interested in going to full frame, I like the size and feel of the DX 7000 to 7200 When I am shooting I am often juggling between work and clients so I like to travel light as well

The first thing I'm going to do after finishing browsing the forum this morning is to check my insurance policy and ensure that I'm covered in the event of a similar situation than the one you just experienced. Sorry for your loss.

I have three other Nikons but really enjoy the D7200 and would miss it greatly were it to disappear. There's no question that I'd replace it, likely with a refurbished body. But that's just me. Let us know what you decide ... and good luck.
