Really Enjoying my D7200

I was having a chance to go thru the D7200 sub forum and wow there were a lot of intense discussions. But I am so glad I was able to get mine. I look at some of the wild life and BIF shots and am amazed. Gives me something to aspire to. The jump from the D3200 to D7200 was dramatic.

I hope that the D500 is all it is being promoted to be, but I am happy where I am. I really like the D7xxx models. For me the D7200 pushes me to work on my craft. It preforms well in the environment where I like to take pictures today. Love this camera...

I was thinking long and hard, and even stashing some money away, to get the new D500 when it debuts. But after some discussions here and additional thought about lenses, I picked up the D7200 and am delighted that I did. It's an excellent camera with a solid feel, which is something I appreciate. I suspect that I will devoting my extraneous dollars to quality glass rather than yet another whiz-bang camera body.

I am lucky enough to have a D7200 and a D7100. I like to carry two bodies at once when I'm in the field. These are the two best cameras I have ever owned, so I am a happy camper. Sure, I'll be looking at the D500 when it comes out, but I'm really happy where I'm at right now. :)

I'm in the same boat.
Upgraded to the d7200 in January from the d3200. I love it so far. Started to invest in some decent glass now.

I continue to enjoy my D5100 very much, but I sometimes think about an upgrade. I don't stay close to market trends and assumed that the only way to step up was to go with an FX Full Frame model. The thought of an FX caused me to cease thoughts of buying a DX lens I want and also gave me financial pause about shouldering the expense of an FX system.

Imagine my happiness when I stumbled into the D7200 on Nikon's website. It's an ideal solution for me, offering significantly higher resolution, an increase from 4 FPS to 6 FPS (better for my train photography), a far deeper buffer, more AF points, a second SD slot for backup, the ability to use my existing DX lenses and many other features as well. VERY nice.

I'm not ready to move up yet, but I'm comforted to know that a Nikon model exists that I can aspire to own that won't obsolete my existing gear and won't wreck my budget. I'll visit this thread to keep up on your use and enjoyment of the D7200. :)
