Following a theme from the D800 and D7100 sections.....

What lens are you presently using on your D7200?

Mine is sporting the Sigma 18-250mm f3.5-6.3 DC Macro OS.

AF-S Nikkor 18-140 3.5-5.6 G ED.

I'm using the same lens at the moment and finding that I like it a lot, which is something of a surprise. It came with the camera, and I thought that I'd switch it out right away for the 18-300mm telephoto, which has become my default stock lens of choice of late. But the more I play with the 1-140, the more I like it. The photos seem to be quite good. And while it doesn't get waaaay out there, it does a nice job for tidy shots around the neighborhood. All in all, I'm impressed.

Tokina 11-20 stays on the 7200 quite a bit lately. As for the 18-140, it's really a good lens. When looking at the IQ of many shots i find the good light / bad light scenario has a way of masking the ability of a lens. Recent example was using my new speedlights. I had the 18-140 on and blasted my dog with flash in the house and didn't think much of it until i went to process the shot. When i went to process those and other shots i was reminded just how sharp that lens can be with good light.

My 150-600mm.

I tried her as a people lens and quite like the 150-420mm reach. The quality is good and I can grab my shots while the subjects remain unaware I'm framing them.

Is there any affordable normal telephoto lens that suits the quality of our sensor? I have the 55-200 I but I think that it's of lower capabilities than the camera (it sounds right after all) than it was of my D5300

Zero, zip, zilch! I only purchased it yesterday and batteries are charging whilst the manual is being read/skimmed over.
