My Tortie, Damnit (the Gkids call her Butterscotch) performed a catectomy on my Nikon D7100 earlier today. The glass in front of the LCD screen looks to be the only victim. A very small crack in the upper r. hand corner. All other functions seem ok and the LCD display it's self seems fine. The LCD screen looks to be an internal job but the glass seems to be simply attached to the back via adhesive. Anyone with experience with this.... your input would be greatly appreciated........

Post a pic so we understand what you're dealing with. Replacing the screen is an expensive proposition which is why I use an acrylic protector on all of mine. Scratch or crack it and I can replace it fairly easily and cheaply. The original is not just stuck on the back with adhesive.

I noticed that the D750 does not come with one like all the other Cameras I have had and I assumed it was because of the flip screen. Have you found a acrylic protector that will work on this camera?

IIRC I had a spare for a D610 and it fit fine. Didn't want to wait for Vello to introduce one (they have one at B&H now).

I replaced My d300 glass panel. the lcd sits under the externa glass we see. there are replacements but ask if its glass or plastic. I received plastic. simple DIY to you. get a hair dryer. an a hobby knife. unlike in the video, the new part should have adhesive on it and you just remove the backing. make ure to clean the edges inside the camera well otherwise it wont sit flush. good luck
