That is a good upgrade from your D3X00. I am still getting into the groove with my D7100. It is nice, but has many settings to play with. Ha! I know you will enjoy it @MAMF.

I have bought D7100 for dummies book, my step father printed off a manual for me.......over 300 pages!!!!!!!!!

I will get back to you in 6 months when I have finished reading and understanding it. :)

Sweet, Enjoy it as I do mine. There is is a lot to learn on it. Hopefully you have more time then me to learn and will pick it up a lot quicker then I am due to not having much time to play with it and learn

Congratulations!! I got the same for Christmas a D7100 and D7100 for Dummies, I have made it through 1/3 of the book and I love the pictures I have been able to take! Keep us up to date!

Congrats! I don't remember which camera body you're coming from, but the plus side with the D7100 is I can always switch it back to full-auto mode if it really comes down to it. :)

It has been despatched so should be here in a few days. I have not been out on a shoot yet, just taking the odd photo around the house.

I took this yesterday with my 300mm lens and cropped.

Congrats! I don't remember which camera body you're coming from, but the plus side with the D7100 is I can always switch it back to full-auto mode if it really comes down to it. :)

D3200 and now up to the D71

No, the 3200 is a good basic enthusiast camera however the 7100 had come down considerably in pric£ and it can take 7 FPS rather than 3.

I took reasonable shots with both camera's I just need a few questions answering as I go along.
