I paid almost 900 dollars for a refurb not that long ago. Although it doesn't bother me much, since I didn't get it as an investment. I doubt that it will drop much more for a while..

Ouch, that makes resell harder for guys trying to upgrade, but what a fantastic camera for a new guy to step into!

I just purchased a manufacturer's referbished D7100 with a 18-140mm lens, plus quite a few accessories from B&H for $829. Will be here this coming Thursday. :biggrin-new: To say I'm excited would be an understatement.

Wow, Bob, that's an amazing deal Congrats.

I've got a lot of actuations on my D7100, and there's no way I would sell it for these kinds of prices.

Thanks, Woody. I hope to have a lot of actuations on the new(referbed) camera soon. BTW, do you belong to any local camera clubs in the Denver Metro area?

I purchased a refurbed D7100 last year, and it hasn't been the greatest experience. Part of that is my fault, I admit. When you buy a refurbished piece of equipment, know that you get a warranty that is shorter than for new gear. Therefore, you need to really get the equipment out and test it IOT see if it has issues that weren't found or fixed in the refurbish process.

I've also got a couple of refurbed Nikon lenses, and one of them also operates at the edge of acceptable performance.

That said, there are many who are totally happy with their Nikon refurbed equipment who will continue to purchase this way, and I wish them continued pleasant experiences. As for me, I'm done purchasing Nikon refurbed equipment. (Oooooh, I can't believe that I said that.)
