Well soon I'll own a DX Nikon again, and this time trying a D7100! Now this Nikon has already been named by my good buddy @Blacktop, and she is called Emmylou Harris! :D I have to say I'm looking forward to shooting some critters with it, and getting her a battery grip sometime down the road! Lol:)

I guess after recommending it so much I was bound to try one! Lol Thanks Pete buddy! :D

I use my D7100 with the grip, and the camera is just weighted right. looking forward to seeing some shots.

@Blacktop,do i see more lenses on the horizon, congratulations Bill

Yes , we did a little horse trading last night. Now I have my wide end covered with two prime lenses and can now start saving for that Sigma 150-600 lens. I'm going (if nothing major gets in the way) to the Circle B ranch in February to meet some of our fellow Nikonite shooters.

Well done,i did a few shots with the Sigma 50-500 before returning it,your going to like the long lens on it.

I found Having a DX was handy, to go with my FX Nikon's! But my D300 was out matched when I bought my D800E, so this seems like a great solution and still keep things easier than cropping so much with a FX!:)
The D7100 has enough MPs to crop some even though it is DX and that I think will work best for my critter shots! :) After hearing it talked up a lot by my friends I'm very excited to finally have a D7100 to play with! :)

Congrats Bill (and Pete, since selling the D7100 probably helped with the D750 acquisition)!

I'm about to have to start selling off a few hobbies that haven't been used in the past couple years to keep funding this addition also, but glad to see gear stay in the Nikonites family. :)

Thanks buddy! Yes this model should give me the reach I've been needing for critters, and for some macro shots too! :)
