Hi guys
Well New Zealand trip nearly over we leave on Saturday for 3 days in Singapore
Im hoping to get some night shots of skyline , Marina Bay etc
Not done any night shooting , but from what I've seen on here f9, f11, at 30sec seems popular
I have tripod, wireless trigger, 35mm, 18-105,and 70-300 suggestions more than welcome Just another thought , does long exp noise reduction in camera work with RAW
Im using d7100

Depending on your lens I would be using F2.8 / 5.6 etc turn off in camera NR unless you want extremely long processing times, your prime would be the sharpest. Just experiment with ISO and shutter speeds until you get what you like keeping the ISO as low as reasonable but in saying that a bit of noise never hurt anything and can actually make a photo.

That is the beauty of digital :)

Have fun.

Thanx Scott
think I stick with iso100 try and get the best I can
Just flipped through the Night shot thread 30sec or there about at f9 or 11 seems a regular setting or
combinations of the same ie variations in ISO, fstop, or shutter speed

Ok I personally would not use that F stop as it reduces the amount of light your sensor receives, but thats me.....

@Skwaz just remember that ISO is not the only thing that creates noise, long exposures create noise in the form of 'hot' pixels I am unsure how the D7100 handles this but just another thing to be aware of.
