Here is an authentic test of card speed in a D7000
Rob Galbraith DPI: Nikon D7000 (select D7000 if necessary)
D7000 and D7100 card interfaces are both UHS-1, but I don't know if the cameras are same speed?
You really only need card write speed if using burst mode for large file formats.
We always need fast read speed at the computer.Last edited by WayneF; 05-23-2014 at 10:01 PM.

Just a couple days ago @Dave_W posted that Adorama is running a sale on their Lexar 32GB 45mb cards for $16.95. If you order 3 or more, the price drops to under $16 each. Although they aren't in stock, it really is a terrific price and would still be a good back-up if you find something faster.

I understand that read on USB2 isn't that fast, so to benefit from anything above 30mbs (?) would need USB3
What is important to me wi write speeds, and the class 10s - and 10 is highest - simply means a MINIMUM write speed of 10mbs.
What I can say is that the 95mbs cards I use get the full 100 shots consecutively at 7fps when set up - this setup is shown in another thread.

The Gailbraith test shows the D7000 is not faster then 30 MB/sec with any card, but you may want a USB 3.0 reader for the computer upload.
