A great tip for all nikon d7100 users

if you are using nikon d7100 camera read this , if you don't know , your camera have 6 custom WB preset that you can use at different situations , now there is also one more thing about custom preset , when you using it you can directly measure a point in the frame for the camera to measure the WB temperature from him and save it to your preset. if you want to do it just while looking at the viewfinder hold the WB button while its set to Preset , hold it for few seconds and then at the viewfinder you will see PRE icon pop-up at the low right corner , if you see it aim the camera at the object you want to measure temperature and press the shutter button ( be sure your focus point will aim at him) then if its good you will see (Gd) at low left corner , if you see (no Gd) its mean that the exposure isn't good (too dark , too bright ) so readjust and try again . its really help you if you don't trust the auto white balance. you can read it in camera manual at page 95

While it may not be on page 95 of other manuals, this is the same method used by many other Nikon cameras, so it's a great tip for all sorts of users. ;)
