I would like to know how to Bracket one shot (3 pictures) in the following way

first - how i see it
second - one aperture down
third - one aperture UP

all by pressing the "shutter-release button" one time

i have seen this done in "white balance" but not in aperture

any ideas

I assume you have the D7000 because of the Forum you selected.
Look in your manual for Exposure Bracketing. It should tell you how to set it up. I can't tell you more because I have to do mine Manually but setting up three shots and readjusting the shutter speed with each one.

As far as I know with no camera can bracket aperture... what are you trying to do exactly by this???? Just wondering....

Bracketing is done by changing the EV which is exposure value, exposure value can take in more than just changing aperture but for all practical purposes it is basically the same as changing f stops. Any camera that has auto bracketing capability allows you to program how many shots and at what exposure value. My D300 and D200 allow from three to nine automatic shots.

He was asking how to bracket aperture not EV stops... just wondering what would be the need to bracket apertures???

Just select shutter priority mode on the D700, push the bracket button and adjust with the main dial to get 3 exposure, then adjust with the subcommand dial to let it know what exposure difference you want between the shots.
It should all be explained in the manual under the bracketing chapter (it's been a while since I checked the manual though). The shutter priority is less used for bracketing since we often use the bracketing function to make HDRs. In this case, since the 3 exposures will be blended, if we were to use shutter priority, the 3 exposures would have different depth of field and it probably would not process as well.

Hope this helps.
