    D7000 with Tokina 12 28 f/4

Hallo, anyone who has a D7000 combined with a Tokina 12 28 f/4? I'd like to discuss a focus item with the combo...

Here is my question. I am under the impression that my pictures taken with the Tokina are not very Sharp. I don 't know whether that is due to the lens or to the D7000.

Here is a sample. I focussed on the tress but they lack sharpness.

I don't know what causes the enlargement problem.

Did you handhold the camera or use a tripod?
If you handheld, 1/25 could have contributed to camera movement causing softness of the image. You probably could have used f8 or f10 and iso200 and got a higher shutter speed more suited to handholding. If you have a tripod that can help to get sharper photos as well.

I use a Tokina 11-16 f2.8, with good handholding technique I could probably get acceptable images at 1/25, but I would aim for a higher shutter speed if handholding if possible. And to be honest, I don’t think there is much need to use an aperture narrower than f11 with such a wide angle lens, going narrower is probably going to be detrimental to image quality.

Thank you for the advice. I did use a tripod.
I will try to take the same picture with a different aperture and faster shutter speed.
