Hello! I am going on my first trip to Iceland this September! I'm eager to capture the scenery and Nothern Lights and wanted to see what lens others have used on this trip and loved!

What lenses do you already have and what's your budget for new lenses?

Off the top of my head I'd probably suggest something like the Nikon 18-140mm f/3.5-5.6 and the Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 PRO DX as two good choices.

Howdy and welcome to Nikonites!!!

As others have mentioned, it's worth knowing what kit you already own, so as to either focus on those options or minimize the additional kit that would need to be purchased/rented.

I have never been to Iceland, nor shot the Northern lights, but I would imagine a sturdy tripod would be high on the list. Also if I was lucky enough to have the time and money to take such an incredible trip, I would definitely purchase or rent either a Tamron 15-30mm or a Nikon 14-24mm lens.:encouragement:
