Bought a low milage <3000 clicks D7000 to partner with my D700. I'm thinking the Tamron 70-200 f/2.8 VC will have a new home on this camera. I did have to go -7 to get sharp focus and that's OK as I'm learning it and playing with the setting and yes starting to read forum sections like this one. The D700 has the Tamron 24-70 f/2.7 VC so together I think I have a good combination.

Amazing how the colors just grab you all I did was crop a little and sharpen a little nothing done to the colors.
I have the picture control set to vivid.

Tamron 7-200 is very nice, slightly sharper than the Nikon lens at centre. Just troublesome to sort out the AF fine tuning. I keep questioning it and changing it myself.

I have always thought the D7000 to be an underrated camera. In the right hands, with the right lenses, it can produce admirable work. Congratulations, this camera will probably serve you well for many years.

In the short while I've owned it I think it's an excellent camera.

I just got my D7000 and a 18-105 lens. My father-in-law gave it to me. Now I am thinking getting a Grip or not
