There must be an easier way to wet clean a sensor?

@480sparky I haven't got a dishwasher @AC016 I wasn't sure about the washing machine as there is a high voltage capacitor in there, just been electrocuted twice so I took it out and it's rated at 330 volts. No wonder it hurt. :-( @FastGlass It's an insurance write off. Got a quote off Nikon UK for £577 to fix it. Initially it was £264 but the sensor was scratched as well so I thought I would check and take a fun photo at the end :) @jaydean love the shocking smiley

I dropped the camera and it broke the ggs glass screen cover but the screen itself was fine. Took a photo and it sounded weird. Had a look, shutter had broke. The firing of the camera with a shutter blade out of alignment scratched the sensor. Before the sensor issue I was quoted £264 which I accepted but then got a 2nd quote with the sensor replacement for £577 so I declined that. I can get a brand new one for the same. Sorted on the home insurance. I'll pay the extra for a D7100 now.
