I think it exhibits, even in those controlled settings, a better quality sound, with stereo quality, for sure. When out in the wind, elements or more complex environments, is where I hope it really excels.

Thank you for the feedback. Very good info. The ME-1 is also easy to hook-up and quick to get started with each time.

You can also search the video section where I posted several videos using the Nikon ME-1. I think it does a decent job to get stereo sound.

i think in the room where he is the sound quality is not good anyway. I could not tell any difference in the sound. But I would think in a big hall with music you would be able to tell the difference.

The built in mics in Nikon do a surprisingly good job though. This is something I did a long time ago with my d3100. This was shot with a 40mm and the built in mic so you know I was a long way away.

I have an ME1 Stereo Microphone
If I bought the Bluetooth Microphone ME W1 can I plug the Stereo Microphone ME1 into the side of the ME W1 Microphone to record Stereo sound back to my camera as the ME W1 is a mono mike?
I have a D7000
