Is www.overstockdigital.com a legitimate vendor?

Does anyone here have experience with Overstock Digital? I came across a $2049 sale for the Nikon D800 which is almost the same price of a Nikon D610.

Overstockdigital

This seems to good a price to be true. So I was wondering whether anyone has any information on them.

I would strongly suggest that if you deal with this company, you INSIST on condoms.

If you're gonna get screwed, you might as well be safe!

I don't know if following reviews might help you, but I have made some digging over at dpreview and and other sites. Personally I would stay away from it and find a compagny that is more trustworthy.

Overstock Digital - Washington, DC

I'd heed the warnings of the interweb.

Also, this tells me something "THIS SITE IS NOT
AFFILIATED WITH OR ENDORSED BY OVERSTOCK.COM
"

Basically saying "This site is not related to the legit site that is overstock.com" :)

Thanks to everyone for all the feedback and warnings. I figured the prices were to draw one in. That is why I created this thread and performed a few yahoo searches on Overstock Digital to find the similar information regarding their scam operation. Thanks again to all for your feedback.

I called them awhile back to inquire about this unbelievably low price. Just as I thought, this was a typical NJ camera store scam. The price is for the body only; no battery, no charger, no strap, no manual, not even the box, literally the body only! By the time they added in all the items that Nikon packages with a D800, surprise, the total was higher than buying from a legit dealer. I said that's okay, I already have all the accessories as I have another D800 so all I need is the body. Much to my surprise (NOT!), the "body only" was out-of-stock, but they were happy to charge my card and ship it to me when it was available. Thank you. NO. Stay away, far, far away!

A family member dealt with this company a while back, and purchased a Nikon D610 body. There was no charger, or battery, and these had to be purchased separately. I had a chance to look at the item, and it was obvious it was a gray import from Japan, and hence no battery or charger came with it, as they would not have been compatible with the USA's main's voltage.
Also, as this is a gray import, Nikon USA will not honor the manufacturer's first year warranty, and they will never ever service this item, not even for a fee.
Nikon USA will refer you to the original seller, and I doubt they will want to know. My relative also purchased an extended warranty, although from what I can see from the documentation that relates to it, it's pretty much worthless.
If any servicing ever needs to be done, then I hope we can find a place in Canada that might help us out!
Another sting in the tail this seller had for my unfortunate relative was the shipping. She'd paid for expedited air shipping (and paid a pretty penny, too), only to find the item was sent overland by a much cheaper method. She did call the company up about this, but the person she spoke to was neither very pleasant, nor very helpful. He told her he'd offer her a credit to be redeemed against a future purchase, but there won't be any future purchases.
Now, not even a year on, the camera is exhibiting focus issues. It might be time to look into repair facilities in Canada!
I think readers can make up their own minds as to whether it's going to be worth dealing with this company based on what I have said.
My advice is to stick to the respected on-line retailers you know, places like Amazon, Adorama, and B & H. I've dealt with all of them, several times, and I've never had any issues with them.
