Looks great! Hearing some good feedback on it. Just waiting to hear more on this new model. If its as good as they say, it will be a great upgrade at some point J.

Read your manual, ask questions but most importantly take lots and lots of pictures using every concievable setting and control, you'll be surprised how fast you can learn a camera.

I bought my D7000 two days ago, here in Mauritius (I am Mauritian). The hard copy manual is in French; so I am having to spend hours in front of my screen reading the English free soft copy which is ......UNPRINTABLE! Can anybody please tell me how to obtain a hard copy English version.

Should be able to download a .pdf version from Nikon USA website. I've downloaded that version, printing... well it's 348 pages. That's a lot of paper and ink, but it can be printed.. hope this helps.

Hi Glenn.

How do you find the eye cup accessory for the D7000? (of all the things I ask about eh? LOL!) I've been toying with the idea for a while...what are your thoughts on it's usefulness?

Hi James. Good question. This is the hoodman hood eyecup. I use them for my cameras. I discovered it when one of my friend had one installed on his D700. After trying it, it does makes a difference to me and lets you concentrate on the view finder and it minimizes any distractions. It may not work out well if you wear eyeglasses. I am right handed but I use my left eye since it's my dominant eye. It helps a little bit from rubbing my face against that LCD plastic cover.

I got mine from B and H photo if you are interested. :)
