    Re: New D700 owner

Just got an used D700 with about 35k shutter count along with nikkor af 50mm 1.8d lens.

    I used to use D3200.

Took it out for kids photos in amusement park yesterday, and I ams totally satisfied with the results.

It is a bit heavy and big for my hand to hold.
But my old peak design sling strap definitely helped me for carrying it around.

Very fast af, and way more sharp than d3200. I am very happy. ^^

Now, I just gotta replace those falling rubber grips...

Welcome to the forum! Congrats on the D700. I love mine. It is quite a change from a 3200 but you will find it will grow on you. The controls are different but it is very intuitive. I set mine up with back button focus and was always very happy with the results.

I hope you enjoy the forum. It is a friendly place.

I still own mine and the D700 is, while very dated, still a great camera. For many applications, it is still my "go to" camera body!

    New D700 owner
Yes it's dated but so is the D2x I've been playing with lately.
In the right situation I'm pulling out some nice images.
