Have a chance at a D700 working perfectly but with very high shutter count. I would expect replacement would be needed soon. Has anyone had recent replacement of their D700 shutter?

Curious as to what the current price for this is.

thank you so much

Any nikonites had shutter replace done recently?

All of my cameras are under utilized.

Most pros will likely experience the need to replace their shutter.

Compared to buying a new entry level camera, having the camera fixed by a authorized repair center will be best since they can conduct a more thorough inspection. They even replaced the camera's rubber grip free of charge.

so just guessing here if I could get the whole thing done including purchase and subsequent complete refurbishment for well under $1000 you say go for it?

The Camera at the moment functions 100% and takes beautiful images...

Well if you can get the camera for around $600 usd and if the shutter replacement runs $300 usd + applicable taxes and shipping, it may not be a bad deal.
But you should just verify shutter replacement costs directly prior to purchasing.

Nice price and I have handled D7100 very nice camera. Outstanding actually....

Have D300 (love pretty much everything about it )so not seeking additional DX kit looking to match it with a D700 as it is pretty much identical camera but full frame. A D610 / D7100 kit would accomplish the same of course but then I would be buying 2 additional cameras. Goal in the mount switch from A mount to F mount is to have pro quality crop camera and full frame camera and no more than 5 lenses.

No interest in video in my cameras and not looking for high MP capability 12 MP is perfection for me.
