You won't see much difference when using an UV filter. They're basically only used these days as protective filters.

The only time I noticed that I had an UV filter on was when I got a too cheap one that negatively affected my IQ.

If you want a protective filter for your lens, I'd suggest either a Hoya HD Circular Polarizing filter (CPL) or one of their HD Protectors.

UV filters were common when shooting film but they really have no particular value in digital photography because digital sensors are not affected by UV like film is. That being the case, you shouldn't expect to see a difference in your shots with the filter in place. If you were, it would most likely be a bad thing.

Just be aware if you are shooting into the sun. You may want to remove the filter if it causes sun flare which can happen with any filter on the front of the lens. Otherwise, if you don't notice any adverse problems such as a degradation in sharpness, then you should be fine. I've been using them since my 35mm film days and have one on every lens to protect the front elements.
