A Week with my D610 and 50mm 1.8G

I volunteered to take candid photos during our church's kids camp this week. I took my new D610 and one lens, my 50mm 1.8G. It was the first time that I have spent a week with one prime lens. I had a blast. I had to think through lots of different dynamics since my only "zoom" was my feet.

Here's some of the kid's photos.

Great shots. Really nice portraits with pleasant colors, sharpness where it matters and bokeh. I have the 1.4G version and love the 50mm on full frame. To me that lens/focal length really came alive on the D610. Great job!

Thanks DSS. I had a lot of fun with it. It was my first week going full frame and a lot of it was getting use to the different dof at certain f-stops.

Great shots, Brett. I remember when I was a kid and I got to use my dad's SLR. I felt so limited with the 50mm lens. I wanted a zoom, a telephoto, and a wide angle. Now, a zillion years later, I just bought a 50mm f/1.8 on ebay and I'm looking forward to sharp and f/1.8!
