D610 and Nikon 80-200 2.8

I'm interested in knowing how this lens Nikon 80-200 2.8 AF-D 2-ring current model focuses on the 610 body,does anyone use this combo who can chime in with your expertise. Thank You

There are (at least) 3 versions of that lens, a push pull, a 2-ring and an AF-S. I owned the 2 ring for several years and used it frequently before I fell into a deal on the 70-200 2.8VRII. Focusing was OK, depending on what you're shooting and what focus method you use. The VRII lens focuses faster, but is 2x the price (new).

I have the current 80-200mm...I use it to shoot surfing, motox, and I have shot drags as well..Does the job for me...

I also have the Nikkor 80-200mm AF-D ED lens. (The one Nikon is still selling brand new). It focuses strong and quickly on my Nikon D600. (There is a lot of torque on it actually) Although it is noisier than Nikon's AF-S lenses, I'm very happy with the results I get with it even in action situations!
