Office Shoot for local phsyciatrist(?) Results

I did a job for a local shrink office here in Topeka and did the headshot and the building shot to do his website. As soon as he gets it finished he will send me a link to his site so I can see it and then I will post the link on here for everyone. When I was showing him the pictures he asked if I could help him figure out how to attach the headshot to his profile on some website he belongs to, so I took the extra 10mins and made him/the client extra happy with my services. Here are the pics.

Thanks

Nice job! However, I am still going to add some criticism. The third portrait . . . see the window blinds? Next time make sure to fix those so they are either open or closed!

Yes they are nice but like Mike I will add something too - the bokeh could have been better so that all the background clutter (books) is out of focus.

Good shots, I will have to disagree with Lawrence regarding the books I feel they should be in some kind of focus as he is a Psychiatrist and I am guessing the books display his knowledge in some way.

I actually took two shots of the one with the books and he chose the one with the books some what in focus and not all the way gone the way out of focus with the 85mm 1.8G, he liked that one. As far as the blinds I just now noticed that and not it is driving me crazy (thanks) just something I will have to watch in the future and thanks for pointing that out. I feel I will always learn from every shoot regardless if I point it out myself or if a fellow peer notices, I still like the feedback and thanks to all who have chimed in. Thanks!!!

If you have Photoshop or Photoshop Elements, you can blur the blind more so it won't be an issue. And I would have preferred having the books slightly blurred a little more--enough to know they are books yet not be distracting. My only other comment would be to possibly tone down the contrast a little.

Kudos for taking the extra time to help the client even when you weren't paid to do it. Those small things add up! :)

This is exactly why we need others to see our work. I too posted some stuff I did and people saw things I never noticed when I was shooting. It makes us become more aware on the next try. That is how we learn and get better.
