Went to the zoo... pretty cold. haha. Think it turned out pretty good. A bit off center, but haven't cropped any pictures yet. I will. Grant.jpg

Very happy so far with the D600. Had it for a few weeks and LOVE the colors it yields. Little off center... but I can crop it. Eventually... haha

Now that I look at it, I guess I wouldn't crop it, as his head is almost square in the middle. Just looks a little off center at first with his/her big body taking up the whole right side, haha. The zoo is more fun when it's cold, things move.

What did you do in terms of post processing if any?

I like the zoo early in the morning when everyone is waking up!

I used lightroom 4. I moved Contrast and Shadows up, Highlights down. I added a bit of exposure (I used a pretty fast shutter speed I think, so it was a tad dark). The contrast helped bring up the detail in the grass and tree and give a little pop to the orange in him.

Screen Shot 2013-04-05 at 2.12.07 AM.jpgHere is a screen-shot. This is the setting I use for a "HDR" image.. I think it turns out REALLY good. Some pictures this doesn't work too well, especially people, but I think for some scenes it does.
