I already have bought a Nikon D60 camera. I am keen on buying a D90 as I intent majoring in photography. Is this a right move?

ANY Nikon DSLR, from D40 to D90 to D3000 to D5000 to D300, and also the very expensive pro full frame FX D700 and D3s, are excellent choices for a digital photography major. Of course some extensive photography courses also require knowledge of film, and for that you'd need to buy an inexpensive used manual focus 35mm film SLR, like a Nikon F or a Pentax ZX-M or K1000....

The big advantage I see for the D90 over the D60 is the built in focus motor on the D90 body. It opens up a great deal more lenses that will auto focus. The D90 also has a better ISO to noise ratio than does the D60. Either camera will give excellent pictures in most situations but since you are going to go to school for it, I would get the camera that will allow you to maximize your potential and clearly that would be the D90.
