Greetings

Unfortunately, my new d5300 fell on the floor from one meter, and now when I'm turning the lens I didn't hear any click from the camera before I heard a click

Thank you

Welcome aboard. Enjoy the ride.
We look forward to seeing more posts and samples of your work.

Huh? makes no sense at all.

Need a better description to help you out.
Also, was it a concrete floor or a floor with a thick rug, could make a big dfference.
Finally, can you take a picture at all and is it sharp

Hi, and welcome.

It's rather hard to understand what you are saying. Do mean when you attach a lens to your camera body it does not lock into place? That's the only thing I can think of where you would hear a "click" from turning a lens.

As Bikerbrent asked, can you still take pictures with it - pictures that are sharp?

Hi gbouboulis -

I have a D5500. When I turn it on, there is no noise from the shutter. It only makes a "click" noise when I press the button to take a picture.

The real question is what Bikerbrent said: does your camera still take good pictures? If it does, your camera is probably ok.

Good luck - I hope your D5300 is not damaged. Why don't you post a picture you took with it so we can see?

At the night I have the problem with focus

It looks like your camera is fine, if you took those pictures after you dropped your camera. That's good!

A lot of cameras have trouble auto focusing in the dark (or whenever there is low contrast). Try focusing with your focus point on something bright - like one of those boats - and keep the shutter button pushed halfway down while you compose the picture the way you want it. Then press the shutter all the way down to take the photo. This is called the "focus and recompose" technique, and is very useful in many situations. I think it will help you with night shots like this. (Also, if you set up your Nikon to have "back button focus", it will make it even easier. Look it up if you don't do this already.)

So the good news is that your camera still seems to work! The night time focus is probably just a matter of changing your technique. I do not think it's a problem with your camera.

Ζήτω!

All the best :)
