D5300 firmware updates and Tamron lens

I'm a bit behind the times, but just noticed 2 firmware updates for the D5300 on the Nikon website. Will I gain anything by updating my camera while using my Tamron 16-300 zoom lens or should I leave things alone?

I have the C1.01 update loaded on my D5300. I don't have the Tamron lens though. The update didn't hurt anything for me, but I'm not sure it is necessary for your lens. If you do any in camera editing, it may be of some benefit. That's about all I can say about it. Ha!

If I am reading the firmware information correctly, it looks like only Nikkor lenses are supported with these updates.

I did the update recently and my tamron 18-270 pz drive works fine, or at least I haven't noticed a problem..
