I found that if your battery is low, WIFI will not work.

    My iPad finds the camera.
    It connects well.
I can take photos using the iPad.
I go to view the photos.
I select one or I try to see one image.
The app says the camera got disconnected.
    Start again.
    The same.
After several months of this I decided to sell the camera.

Sorry to hear this, but I hope you find another camera that works better for you.

I had trouble with my d5300 connecting to my android, but not my iphone (after months of successful connections). The phone says it's hooked to the camera, but the camera says it's not hooked to the phone......after hours of fiddling....I turned on Airplane mode, then while still in airplane mode turned back on only the Wifi and it worked fine.

I had the same problem with my D5300 using an Android Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus. I originally tried using Nikon owners manual instructions with no luck. I found that after I reset the phones network settings it acquired the cameras SSID and connected immediately to the Nikon WMU App with no problem. I am not sure if I will have to do it again. Phone connected back to my regular WIFI after putting in the password with no problem.

Hi, just follow exactly the following instructions (you were missing a final step): https://imaging.nikon.com/support/di...ions/wifi.html

I have tried everything and still my phone is saying connected, but the app says it isn't connected to the camera.

Hi Cillaprice, with the recent updates made on Android and the lack of Nikon's attention in other new inconveniences too, I decided to get a new app for my D5300 that it works without a problem. You can find it here, (fingers crossed):
