Hi,
I'm looking for off-camera Flash i can use in Manual mode (Don't care about TTL) with my D5300 for shooting models semi-professional.

I understand that the d5300 is lacking Commander mode and a FV lock feature (dont't completely understand the role of the FV lock but i think it's to trigger the preflash early so people don't blink with their eyes when the pictures is taken?)

I'm guessing i need this:

1) Radio trigger for the camera hot shoe
2) A reciever on the remote flash foot
3) a flash

Are there any quality radio triggers, recievers or flashes you could recommend? It's a new topic for me, so if you have questions or considerations i need to think about pelase let me know :)

I have several Yongnuo 560's with built in receivers, buy a simple yongnuo hotshoe transmitter and you are all set, don't even need to buy receivers. The flashes run about $60, the transmitter can be bought for under $30. I use mine almost every day, always in manual mode, very reliable. Also I have the separate receivers for my nikon flashes.

Ruidoso Bill gave you the quick and east answer. Put an Yongnuo 602 transmitter on top of the camera and then you can use the 560s or 602 receivers under your existing flash heads had have inexpensive, manual, radio triggers.

Thank you for this, So I'll get a Yongnuo 602 or 603 Version II (think i might get this) transmitter for my Camera hot shoe. I want to modify my Rear Curtain Sync for freezing objects in motion with the flash, will this flash be good for that? YongNuo YN-560 III Flashgun

Is that really all i need? :)

Yup you can buy 4 Mark 4 Yongnuo's and the hot shoe transmitter for less than the price of one Nikon SB-700 ...
