I read the manual and it says in the manual something to the effect of the Camera has a built in buffer and it says it can hold up to 100 pictures so why can I not just picture after picture, what I'm seeing after every time I take a picture is the green light showing it is loading the picture into the memory card.

I'm shooting in Raw and I'm using the Samsung Pro cards with 45MB write speed,I have tried adjusting the setting called Single frame tried most of the other setting's in that menu what is going on.

if you put it on high speed shooting mode - you can hold the button down and it will shoot lots of frames - it will use it's internal buffer to hold those images as it writes them to the memory card.

That is my understanding.

The key wording is "up to" different settings will give different file sizes and therefore the buffer will hold different amounts.

How do you put it on high speed shooting mode that's the part I can not figure out where's it's buried in this Camera.

Thanks for your help so far.

I understand that shooting in Raw will eat up the buffer faster then shooting it in Jpeg I just can't figure out how to set it to shoot at high speeds.

I don't own one, but I am guessing something to do with your Up to 3 fps (

) or 5 fps (
icon_04.png
) button that looks like that.... on top.

From nikons website
Release modes

(quiet shutter release); interval timer photography supported

Once you figure it out, you might be able to fire off about 10 RAW shots in CH before the buffer fills. If you want to blast of dozens of shots, you'll have to switch to jpeg.
