There's a little 'slider' on the card itself. Check to see if that is in the 'lock' position.

FYI.... posts with no capitalization and terrible/random punctuation are VERY hard to decipher and often prone to misinterpetation. There's a difference between Helping my uncle, Jack, off his horse and helping my uncle jack off his horse.

Hello and welcome..............................:)............I think it must be something you have done rather than a fault with the card.

Just removing the SD card from the computer without ejecting it first could have caused the SD card to corrupt. That should only affect the card in question, not every card that comes in contact with the camera.

It sounds like one of two things have happened. The SD cards have been reformatted in the computer using a format not supported by the camera. You may have to reformat the SD cards in your computer, ensuring that you format them at FAT and not another format type. Alternatively, there could be a problem with the camera settings causing the camera to reject all SD cards, in which case I agree with @fotojack that performing a two button reset of the camera could help.

If both of the above steps don't resolve the issue, my last suggestion would be to take a brand new SD card that has never touched either the camera or another computer, and try that. If the camera still does not accept the card, then you have a camera failure.

...yes but I always got the same error message, "MEMORY CARD IS LOCKED. SLIDE LOCK TO WRITE POSITION".

I have verified the behavior that I expect, with my D3200, that if I slide the write-protect slider on an SD card to the lock position, and insert it in my camera, I get the exact same result, albeit not in all caps.

I have to think that if you're getting this message, when you insert an SD card, even if the slider is not in the “lock” position, then the switch in your camera that detects the position of this slider must be damaged or malfunctioning. Perhaps there's some bit of foreign debris in the slot that is jamming that switch. I just tried looking into the slot in my own camera to see if I can see that switch, but I cannot. You might try carefully blowing out that slot with a rocket blower or some canned air. Definitely, make sure that the slider on your SD card is in the unlocked position. Unlocked is toward the contact end, the end that goes first into the camera.

Formatting an SD card in my computer, in NTFS format, and then inserting it in my camera, gets me this message:

I think the problem has to be with the switch in the camera, that detects the position of the write-protect slider on the card.
