Image Playback on Monitr

My husband was using the camera and something must have gotten changed in somewhere along the line. When I hit the playback button to review images nothing comes up. I have searched the web and manual and cannot seem to find how to get the images to come up on the camera's monitor. Also cannot see what I am shooting at on the monitor. Sorry for such a stupid question, but we are fairly new to this camera.

Do you mean it is not showing a preview of the photo you have just taken, or you cannot see what you are shooting on the back screen?

If you cannot see a preview of the image you have just taken, you need to set image preview to "on" in the menus. It will be in the user manual.

If you want to use the screen as a monitor, the Live View switch is on the top of the camera next to the mode dial:

Sounds like Live View is off, so therefore you won't see anything on the LCD if you point your camera at it.

If you want a review of the picture you've just taken, then either click on the play button after you take the pic, or set the camera to show you a view of it (Menu > Playback Menu > Image Review)
