Post your Exotic Animal Pics (Captive or Wild)

I wanted to post an exotic animal thread to see some cool and different creatures that I don't get to see everyday. I will start with my few that I like the best. They were taken at our local Zoo here in Topeka, KS. (Kinda glad I have never seen a lion in the wild, would need new underpants)

I am certain that you have never seen this animal before and I hope that you will never see one in person.

This is a "cattus painintheassus" commonly referred to as a "Damn Cat". He eats only what he wants and sleeps around 32 hours a day.

He uses his own system of hunting, patience. His prey dies of boredom and then is consumed.

Here is Tabby :)

I love the tag line! But remember that taxidermy is the same! :devilish:

This is the Eastern Diamondback Rattlesnake. These rattlers are native to my neck of the woods.

They AIN'T good eating!

These are referred to as the largest rattlesnakes on the planet.

Enjoy.

Oops! Is this thread only for D5100? If so I shouldn't have posted this.

I've never quite understood the organization of this forum. Photos threads seem to get posted everywhere.

This thread should be more like zoo animals. I'm not sure what constitute as "exotic". What is the definition?

Some old archives during my visit from Singapore zoo

Anyone, any camera can post I just accidentally started it in the only D5100 so oooppps. But in my opinion the Kangaroos are exotic to me since I don't see them here in the Americas. Thanks and post away.

The title of the thread states captive/wild so if you want to put zoo shots in here that is great and as far as exotic I just meant animals that you don't see on an everyday basis. If you don't see them everyday then they are considered exotic to you but if you have them in your backyard then they would not be exotic to you so you would not post them. Just wanted to see what animals people had around them that they could share that I would likely never get to see. Sorry for any confusion I will word my posts more carefully next time. Thanks
