    Re: Upgrade 5100?

Would anyone mind posting some pics taken on the 5100 with the 18-140? I' just would like to see the sharpness of the images. (Post process is fine thats what I do anyways)

    lots of them on flickr
but they will all look pretty much alike when viewed on the web

reviews may be more helpful than trying to look at web pics

    try dxomark.com among others
D7100, D90, D100, Nikon 1 J5 and way too many lenses that come and go on the forbuy/sale forums.

I agree with Texas about looking at reviews, but I would not recommend dxomark where the highest ratings go to the highest bidder.

I looked at a 18-140 at Best Buy today, it was connected to a 7500 and I couldn't believe how fast the auto focus was. Was that all camera or also the glass?

Would you care to expound on this? I hear things like this from time to time about DxO but no one ever posts anything that even remotely backs it up.

Thanks to everyone’s input I went ahead and ordered a 18-140 refurb directly from Nikon. I’m excited to get it and try it out.

You will love it. It was my favorite lens when I shot DX.
