wifi adapter

Good evening. I bought a wifi sd adapter and I can not figure out with my android . I suppose for not having energy in card reading . The adapter works with another camera. What is the solution for the card becomes available in wifi ? Best regards

Can't speak for the D5100 and I am not sure I completely understand your problem. Do you use an Eyefi-type SD card and it doesn't transmit anything? Maybe you have to turn that on in the camera. At least that is possible with the D7100. I advise to consult the manual

Its not an Eye-fi card but an SD wifi adapter with a micro sd class10 inside. Its the same. My android or iphone cant find the wifi card. But if i play a video with the 5100 (the green light of the card reader on) i can find the the card. In conclusion, i need to put energy on card to find im. I try on a Pentax compact camera and with the power on, the card its always available.

In my setup (Eyefi card and D7100) I have to enable Eyefi transmisison in the menu.
Then I have to slightly depress the shutter to have tha camera wake up and transmission to the iPad is working.
I would think that with your setup this is the same.
Maybe someone with a D5100 and some similar card like yours will join this discussion...

For new users .. Keep your camera on live view mode to make any wifi sd card adapter work..
